01Unmet need

Skin cancer care remains fragmented

For most patients, suspicion, biopsy, histopathology, and treatment still happen in separate procedures. That delay adds uncertainty for patients and extra demand on clinics.

01

Disconnected workflow

Diagnosis and treatment often occur in separate steps, across different settings and timelines.

02

Prolonged uncertainty

Patients may wait between biopsy, histopathology, and treatment planning — a period of significant anxiety.

03

System-level burden

Repeated visits and fragmented pathways place additional demand on clinicians and healthcare systems.

02The EpiMass approach

An integrated platform for diagnosis and treatment in a single procedure

A surgical laser for tissue ablation, a mass spectrometer for plume analysis, and a classification model for real-time surgical feedback.

A single procedure for a costly bottleneck

Separate diagnostic and treatment visits consume clinic time and delay a decision. Diagnosing during treatment would address that central bottleneck in skin cancer care.
